Sexual Imposition vs. Rape

As you could probably tell, I create a lot of posts from listening to Minnesota Public Radio, and this one is no different. I heard some comments on MPR today and thought that this needed to be said.
The definition of Sexual Imposition sounds like Rape but with a twist. The words sound like someone annoyed you during sex (sexual imposition). Gross Sexual Imposition sounds like someone disgusted you during sex. Why not call it what it is–Rape. Depending on the state where the law is enforced, they modify the definition. It’s still Rape as far as I can see. Don’t change the meaning because it sounds nicer because it isn’t nice, no matter how you slice it.
Also, it’s been said that a woman should be able to walk down the street wearing anything that she wants and not get raped. I’ve gone one step further and said that she should be able to walk down the street naked and not get raped, though other laws may make what she is doing illegal. She should be able to get arrested, but not molested for some of the things she does.
Do we have so many sexual predators because of the way some women dress? Or because of the way we allow our children to dress? Make-up and slinky clothing is not appropriate for children under 18, and some over 18 should be more careful of what they wear for childrens sake. But being concerned about rape is not the thing that should make them dress appropriately.
Morality in public is a major factor though. We all need to think about what we say, do, and wear because they are privileges, not rights, and should be maintained as such for the sake of all people in society. If someones religion says that you should wear a parka when it is 90 degrees, use common sense, but that doesn’t mean that you should go naked.
