USA Economy 2013

Eddie Bauer has e-mailed me stating that their website states where the products are from, but so far the best that I could find is products that state that they are imported but don’t say where they are from.
I’ve found that some Craftsman products are not made in the USA. I would prefer a purchasing choice by knowing where the products are made since I try not to purchase foreign goods, as my goal is to help our economy and employment for all citizens of the USA. By increasing products made in the USA, we decrease the need for Social Services, increase jobs available while decreasing unemployment, increase the tax base, decrease the national debt, and decrease our distance over the fiscal cliff. Please make the shift from foreign made goods, back to goods Made in the USA for the sake of our countries future.
I am working on writing and submitting legislation to make all companies claiming to be United States companies/corporations to sell, no less than, 51% Made in the USA merchandise to be considered a U.S. seller/manufacturer, and to increase the sales and/or corporate taxes for all non-USA companies or companies claiming to be US companies/corporations selling less than 51% Made in the USA.

  1. Since June 1, 2008, when products are purchased online and shipped into New York State, some retailers must charge the tax amount appropriate to the locality where the goods are shipped, and in addition, must also charge the appropriate tax on the cost of shipping and handling. The measure states that any online retailer that generates more than $10,000 in sales via in-state sales affiliates must collect New York sales tax. The cumulative gross receipts from sales to New York customers as a result of referrals by all of the seller’s resident representatives total more than $10,000 during the preceding four quarterly sales tax periods.
