Freedom in the United States…

What is happening to our freedoms?

Many want freedom to smoke pot when they want, but if you have a good job, you will be drug checked the same as you are checked for intoxication during the drug test. The problem with pot is that it stays in your system longer than alcohol, and unlike having a beer or glass of wine with dinner that is gone in the morning, the only thing that will be gone in the morning with pot is your job. Some people think that poppy seed baked goods are tasty, but for being a legal addition to your kitchen, that could easily make you an addition to the unemployment line.

Freedom of Religion is thought to only be a freedom on Sunday’s according to the things that I’ve heard Obama spew out of his mouth. The actual freedom of religion means that anybody can include religion in any speech that they write themselves, in any venue, on any day, but it probably isn’t wise to use the whole time speaking about your religion, in front of an audience of Athiests, or a group from one or more other religions, because you will lose their interest within the first five minutes.

The Right to Bear Arms is being eliminated because there is increased pressure from the U. N. To take gun rights away.  When gun rights are lost, that’s the time that we will all need to have a gun in our possession.  How will we defend ourselves without the equal weapons that our enemies (including our government, that wants to take total control of our lives) has in their inventory?  I always say, ‘if I were President…’, and if I were, I would even say that, every legal resident that hasn’t had their right to own a firearm removed, because of a crime that they’ve committed, or the threat of hurting themselves, or others without provocation, would be need to own a gun after they’ve had the proper training.  I would require proper training to occur first in those communities where the community thought that they had the right to take away firearms.  Every naturally born citizen would need to have the firearms safety course, even if they didn’t want to buy a gun.  This would be a good way to see how the criminal element would react to the possibility of being dead.

The internet control by the FCC is a freedom that I don’t agree with since the FCC hasn’t been doing their jobs for decades, as seen by rules changed for Clear Channel at one point, swearing heard on regular cable TV because supposedly it isn’t a communication source, the media has the freedom of speech that the individual doesn’t have, and now, the Internet is a communication source that they can use to control you, so it must be ok.

The courts, including the Supreme Court have decided that creating law is their job, though that was not a right given to them by our Founding Fathers!  The courts are there to interpret the law.  Politicians are there to create the law to protect the people of this country from foreign governments, people, and the fanatics that they have become.  If judges are allowed to create the law, then we need to get rid of Congress.

How many more freedoms have you noticed that we are losing, or have lost?

One Response to Freedom in the United States…

Is Christianity based on blind faith? Absolutely not. Christianity is based on the historical fact of the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.

1 Corinthians 15:3-8 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. 7 After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. 8 Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time. (NKJV)

    Other historical references: Acts 1:3, Mark 16:12-14, Matthew 28:17, Luke 24:34-36, John 20:18-19, John 20:24-29, John 212:14, Acts 13:29-31.

In order to believe that World War I occurred you have to accept the historical account by faith.

In order to believe that there was a civil war between the states and that Abraham Lincoln was president you have to believe it by faith based on the written historical accounts.

In order to believe the genealogy of your family you have faith that the historical records are true.

In order to believe that the following men lived and died you have to have faith that the historical accounts are accurate. Ludwig van Beethoven, Martin Luther, Buddha, Zoroaster, Napoleon Bonaparte, Confucius, Socrates, Christopher Columbus, Aristotle, John Locke, Alexander the Great, and Julius Caesar.

I believe that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead by God the Father because I have faith that the historical accounts of the Bible are true.
